Workmans Comp Behavioral Health Care

Specialized behavioral health support for the emotional, psychological, and cognitive challenges that can follow a work-related injury.

Behavioral Health Support After a Work-Related Injury

A work-related injury can affect much more than your physical health. The emotional and psychological effects of an injury may make it difficult to return to work, adjust to changes in your abilities, cope with disability, or regain a sense of stability in daily life.

At the Center for Behavioral Health & Sleep Disorders, we consider select workers’ compensation cases where we believe our expertise and services may be helpful. Our goal is to understand how an injury has affected your overall well-being and provide thoughtful, individualized behavioral health care based on your circumstances.

Workmans Comp Cases We Consider

Every case is different, and we do not accept every workers’ compensation case. We consider cases where we believe our clinical expertise can meaningfully contribute to a patient’s care.

Some of the conditions and challenges we may consider treating include:

PTSD Following a Workplace Injury

Support for trauma-related symptoms that develop after a serious workplace accident or injury.

Coping With Disability Arising From Injuries

Behavioral health support for adjusting to physical limitations, changes in independence, and the emotional challenges associated with disability.

Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Concussion Syndrome

Behavioral health and psychiatric care following a work-related moderate to severe traumatic brain injury, as well as treatment for persistent emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and sleep-related symptoms following a concussion.

Neuropsychological Evaluation

Comprehensive assessment of cognitive and emotional changes to provide support/evidence of traumatic brain injury, including concussion and post-concussion syndrome.

Depression and Anxiety Related to Injury

Care when depression, anxiety, or other emotional difficulties develop or worsen following a work-related injury.

Sleep Difficulties Following Injury

Evaluation and treatment of insomnia and other sleep concerns that may occur after trauma or injury.

A Whole-Person Approach to Recovery

A work-related injury can create a complicated combination of physical, emotional, cognitive, and sleep-related challenges. Our approach considers these factors together rather than treating symptoms in isolation.

Depending on your individual needs, treatment may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, sleep-focused care, or coordination with other professionals involved in your recovery.

Federal & Ohio Workmans Comp

We are in network with both Federal and Ohio Workmans Comp.

If you have experienced a work-related injury and believe behavioral health care may be an important part of your recovery, our team can determine whether your situation may be appropriate for our practice.

We Carefully Review Each Case

We understand that workers’ compensation cases can involve complex medical, emotional, and functional challenges. While we consider a range of work-related behavioral health concerns, we do not accept every Workmans Comp case.

We consider cases that we believe we can be helpful with based on the nature of the injury, the symptoms involved, and the type of behavioral health support needed.

Support for the Next Stage of Recovery

If a work-related injury has affected your mental health, cognitive functioning, sleep, or ability to adjust to life after an injury, our team can help determine whether our services may be appropriate for you.
